Konopiste and Cesky Sternberk

Konopiště castle became the last residence of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand d´Este, the heir to the Austrian Imperial throne, assassinated in Sarajevo 1914.

A guided tour in the castle chambers and saloons is included as well as a guided tour in the Cesky Sternberk castle interior, where rooms furnished in the style of various historical periods can be seen. The Sternberk family members have lived in the castle for about 600 years.
